Tornado / Aramis growing near

Day 1 of the heat cycle has come. What will follow is testing by our vet, as the days go on, until the best day for the surgical AI. Then all we can do is cross our fingers and pray that it will be successful. This is a potential super breeding that we have been waiting some time to bring together. Wish us luck!!!!!

Chabibi's Korona-Kazan ROM-P, SC, LCM, SGRC, ORC

IT'S OFFICIAL
Kazan is a ROM-P

The Register Of Merit (ROM) is a title awarded by a breed's parent club to recognize sires and dams whose offspring have earned a notable number of titles in conformation and/or performance competition. The Register Of Merit title is a permanent suffix to the dog's registered name. The Borzoi Club of America will award qualifying sires and dams one of the following Register Of Merit titles: ROM, ROM-C, ROM-P, ROMX, ROMX-C, or ROMX-P.

A big thank you goes out to all of those who have taken their hounds out to play in the various sports and shows to make this possible. This was done primarily with just 2 litters and there are 2 more litters just coming of age and we expect they will produce even more titles.

These are the hounds that were instumental in Kazan earning his ROM-P:

FC Zoiboyz Charger FCh, GRC
FC Zoiboyz Challenger FCh

FC Zoiboyz Comet GRC, ORC

FC Rosehill Shelby Cobra v. Shiloh FCh, GRC

DC Rosehill GTX Superstock

FC Rosehill Barracuda FCh

FC Aria Svora Serrano Ex Libris FCh, LCX, LCM

CH Aria Svora Cascabel

FC Aria Sweet Purple FCh

Teine Firebird Tulane Blacktop RN

FC Aria Svora Black Capsicum of Ryhka SC

Again THANK YOU to everyone that have, first and foremost, provided a loving and forever home to these hounds, and second, for allowing them to shine in their areas of expertise.

cut and pasted from Shirley McFadden's News

...and my 20th home bred AKC champion since my first litter was born 12 years ago. He finished with 3 majors including a 5pt major Specialty win under breeder Sandy Simmons, his first points, this past August.

He is a litter brother to Charles Green and Gretchen Theile's Serrano, who is the #1 2009 AKC Lure Coursing borzoi, as well as Ros Barden's Grand Champion "Chilli" 2009 top ranking borzoi bitch in Australia. Another litter sister "Belle" is a BIF winner, Specialty winner, and finished Champion (and new mother).

If he could, my little red haired boy would sure appreciate knowing he didn't have to dress up anymore for those silly shows. He will be pleasantly surprised when the next time he is loaded onto and out of the the van, he will get to chase bunnies!

Special thanks and congrats to co-breeder Rita Linck-Rice for conceiving this "coursing/show litter" in her mind out of "Scandalicious" and Tom Golcher and KC Thompson's illustrious and very accomplished athlete, Kazan, years before it was bred. And thank you Tom and KC for allowing us to use Kazan and for cheering ALL his kids on along the way.

I just LOVE my beautiful, sweet, red boy Matador. He will now pass on the "show dog" baton to his little half brother Lagan who has been waiting his turn.

KC & I are so very proud of the accomplishments of this litter and all the get that have been produced by Kazan. It is truely a thrilling honor to see so many achieve so much.
